Hey thanks for dropping in to view my site. I’m Cheryl Sacrates by the way—founder of Studio SE7IN Media in January of 2009. I decided starting my own freelance business was the best way to get some real-world experience outside of the classroom. I just finished up my Associates of Design and Layout Degree and started Oakland University in January of 2011 for my Bachelors of Art in Communications. My goal in life is to make a profound difference in the world!

My Job goals
I am currently working part-time as a Graphic Artist for a bi-monthly publication. I also do freelance work. I would love a full-time career in a creative (or otherwise rewarding) position utilizing my new skill set in design, print, photography, layout, and communications. I'm passionate about animals and animal welfare, movies, books, design, layout, typography, color, and photography. To find a job that would allow me to utilize some, if not all of these skills, would be a dream come true. However, I would definitely consider any entry-level creative or non-profit position. I'm not afraid of new challenges or starting at the bottom and working my way up. Stuck in a job I was bored and unhappy in, I returned to school in 2008 to find something that I would not only enjoy, but that would full-fill a drive in me to help make a difference in the world. I've reconnected with my passion for art and animals. I also have a newfound interest in helping our environment. We only have one planet, and we are using up all it's resources at an alarming and unsustainable rate. I am learning every day and love my second family at school and among colleagues. My advice to all "Never let anyone tell you that you cannot do something. You can do anything you set your mind to. Believe. Dream. You only have one life. Make it count."

Let's get personal
I'm a simple person. I hate clutter. Less IS More. Organization beats chaos any day of the week. I pride myself in being one of the ever-dying breeds of honest and genuine people left in the world today, thanks to the high morals my parents instilled on me. I am so lucky to have them, along with the rest of my loving and supportive family and friends, in my life. I love being goofy, having fun and making others laugh. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I dress up every year. Sometimes people ask me when I'm going to grow up. I tell them "hopefully never". Who wants to grow up anyway? Who says adults can't watch cartoons, dress up for Halloween, eat waffles filled with ice cream for dinner, wear torn jeans, converse and movie t-shirts? I love the unusual. Vampires. Werewolves. Folklore. Fantasy and Magic. I drink milk straight out of the carton, kiss my dogs on the mouth, act silly whenever possible and wear white before AND after Labor Day. Who says I can't? I live by MY rules and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love life and am respectful of others. I take my work seriously and aspire to be “make a difference”. Life is too short. Carpe Diem. I don't like to be bored so I stay active and involved. Volunteer! One day I'd like to live on or near the beach. I LOVE flip-flops — The ocean — ALL animals (especially my dogs, great danes, shepherds, and mastiff dogs and exotic cats).  I believe in Fairy tales. Happy endings. Trying new things. Surfing! Barefoot walks on the beach. Celtic music. Movies. Books. Education. More than anything right now, I would love a new rewarding and challenging full-time job.
